we have pleased to offer you to 5.11 Taclite 6 Inches Boot,Coyote Brown,10 M US Reviews
outstanding comfortable boot, August 16, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: 5.11 Taclite 6 Inches Boot (Apparel) Very nice and comfortable boot. I ordered the wide size due to a narrow foot. Other reviews stated that the boot is true to size, but I had to order a size larger. The soles are hard rubber and don't work really well on wet surfaces. You can buy a product to spray on the sole or use sandpaper on the contact areas to alleviate the problem. If you live in the desert, not a big deal. This wasn't a deal breaker. The boots are very comfortable in hot climates, beats wearing a black leather boot in 100+ degrees. They are also very comfortable and break in good due to the spit leather. If you are going to due light running in them, it would be perfect. Amazon also had a real good price. Hope it helps.
good...ish, August 15, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: 5.11 Taclite 6 Inches Boot (Apparel) Boots are comfortable and lightweight as advertised. Mobility is good; better than my Converse desert tan 8" waterproofs...but not by much. These boots are certainly able to breathe better (than the Converse). They also feel lower to the ground than the Converse. For those of you that are wide-footed like me, the 2E size is BARELY wide enough. For comparison, Nike Dart 9 (4E) shoes are just a minuscule bit too wide, the Converse 2E size is close (could be a little wider, but close enough not to cause toe numbness), and these 5.11s are ok with thin socks, but with thick socks, they are a no-go. For me, Nikes typically run narrow, even their wide sizes. Since I bought these for summer wear, thin socks should be ok. For reference, I am 5'9", 155 lbs.
Well made but not well designed - need more support and padding, April 26, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: 5.11 Taclite 6 Inches Boot (Apparel) These are well made boots but have little or no support or insole padding - especially under the balls of your feet. The insole is what I expect in a cheap $40 pair of boots, not a $100+ pair. You will have to add some sort of GOOD support insole or they will beat your feet up. I added a pair of good support insoles and, for me, they now are good boots - not great, but good.
