Pleasantly Surprised, August 7, 2012 By This review is from: Ahnu Men's Elkridge Mid Boot (Apparel) I bought this Ahnu boot to use during a summer spent volunteering in Yosemite National Park. I've logged quite a few miles in these bad boys, on and off trail, through some of the roughest turf that Yosemite has to offer. To review these shoes, I'll talk about how they performed in three different categories: comfort, function, and durability.
Comfort: these things were awesome right out of the box. Very little break in time needed, and they fit like a glove on my feet that are a bit on the wider side of average. The most comfortable pair of boots I've ever owned.
Function: five stars. Kept my feet dry and warm. The sweat/mositure-liner thing they advertise, to my surprise, worked very well despite multiple days between sock changes in the back country. The soles did great on wet and dry surfaces, excellent traction. And a big plus, they're not much heavier then a pair of sneakers.
