Runs larger, but nice boot, August 18, 2010 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Timberland PRO Men's 47017 Titan HD Wellington Waterproof Safety-Toe Boot (Apparel) Really nice boots with a nice slick heel area to make putting on and taking off the boots much easier. Nice sturdy steel toe doesn't crush and soles are comfortable. Didn't review these with 5 stars because they run large compared to other shoes, I wear a size 11, but they were much looser than other boots. With no laces to tighten them up, they end up sliding around. Seem to be waterproof, but I haven't really had to walk around in water all day long, just the occasional walking through a couple inches of water. If you purchase these, you may want to go with a half size or full size smaller.

Now I know how my wife feels in high heels, November 29, 2010 By This review is from: Timberland PRO Men's 47017 Titan HD Wellington Waterproof Safety-Toe Boot (Apparel) Pros: Sole seems pretty good; "ladder lock" is nice
Cons: Toe box is too tapered on instep side; leather scratches VERY easily.
Not observed: Waterproof?
I normally wear a 9 EE, and measure that exactly on a Brannock device (that foot-measuring thing at a shoe store). Based on other reviews, I ordered a half-size smaller because I work in a hot climate and did not want to wear thicker socks. When I first put my feet in the boots, they felt perfect, actually pretty roomy - my feet can slide forward and back 1/4-1/2" and I can wiggle all my toes and move my foot side-to-side about 1/8-1/4". For the first day or so, the boots felt fine, but then I started noticing some pain in my big toes on the instep side, as well as the ball of my foot.
My advice: Buy your true size, and just wear them with thicker socks or buy some insoles at a drugstore to keep your feet from sliding around. I've beaten these up too much to return/exchange (the leather... Read more

Great Pair of Boots, May 10, 2010 By Ross (Little Rock, AR) - See all my reviews This review is from: Timberland PRO Men's 47017 Titan HD Wellington Waterproof Safety-Toe Boot (Apparel) I have had these boots for 7 months now. I do construction and operate heavy equipment in all conditions. These boots keep my feet dry even tracking through mud and water. They boots fit true to size, and they have excellent support. I can work in these for 12 hours a day and they dont bother me...thats something that is very rare for me. These boots have great grip in all conditions. I plan to buy another set soon as a spare set.
